Steel pallets, also known as iron pallets or metal pallets, are suitable for electric forklifts and are convenient for storing goods. They are a series of multi-functional metal pallet products that can be directly used for storage, storage shelves, and cargo transportation. Warehouse steel rack can transport goods on the shelves directly with a forklift, which not only improves work efficiency but also saves labor costs.
Iron pallets are commonly used in ordinary shelves: generally, 2 to 3 metal pallets can be placed side by side to meet the delivery requirements. Therefore, they are also called pallet shelves. When using metal pallets on the heavy-duty shelves, several issues need to be considered. Firstly, the position between the metal pallets must be determined to leave adequate space for forklift operation. Secondly, the metal pallets should be placed neatly on the horizontal beams of the shelves and the relationship between the goods and the metal pallets should be handled well to avoid accidents. The installation of the expansion screws at the bottom of the shelves should be noted to ensure the stability of the pallet shelves.
Steel pallets in vertical warehouses are commonly used in automated warehouses. They are loading and unloading pads consisting of a load-bearing surface and a forklift jack, which can carry multiple items and are used for the convenient loading, unloading, transport, storage, and distribution of goods. The correct use of pallets should be to place the packaged goods and bundles on the pallets, making it convenient for mechanical loading, unloading, and transportation to meet the requirements for loading, unloading, transportation, and storage.
The pallets should be gently placed to avoid damage due to uneven force when landing.
If the pallets are used for stacking, it is necessary to check the load-bearing capacity of the lower pallet and whether there are any damages. If so, the weight should be reduced in time.

The placement method of the goods on the pallet should be determined reasonably.
It is strictly prohibited to throw goods from high places into the pallet. The pallets bearing heavy loads should be placed on a level ground or object surface.
When the forklift or manual hydraulic cart is working, the pallet fork should lean towards the outside of the pallet hole, and the fork should be fully extended into the pallet. After smoothly lifting the pallet, the angle can be changed.
It is strictly prohibited to drop the pallets from high places to avoid breaking or cracking the pallets due to violent collision.
In summary, steel pallets are a good helper in cargo transportation, warehousing and storage in logistics. Compared with plastic pallets and wooden pallets, they are sturdy and have good overall performance, with a service life eight to nine times longer than that of wooden pallets and three to five times longer than that of plastic pallets. In many industries such as petrochemicals, food and beverages, aquatics, tobacco, feed, clothing, electronics, glass, ports, and terminals, they are one of the important logistics tools for modern transportation, packaging, and export of products.
