Racking Shelves are everywhere in our lives, such as supermarkets, clothing stores, warehouses, and more. General storage racks are mainly composed of column pieces, beams and laminates to achieve the purpose of weight bearing. In addition to the load bearing, the laminate also plays the role of carrying goods, and is an indispensable part of the storage shelf. So, what kind of laminate is used for storage shelves?
At present, there are mainly steel laminates, wood laminates and steel meshes on the market. What kind of laminates can be selected according to the weight of the goods stored in the warehouse. From the current market point of view, most of the storage racks use steel laminates. Does this mean that steel laminates are the right choice for storage shelves? The answer is of course not.
Let's take the medium duty rack. Anyone who knows the warehouse shelves knows that the medium duty racks can store goods that are not particularly heavy and are manually accessed. The weight of each layer we designed is 200KG-500KG. If the load is so heavy, if it is made of steel, it is very easy to deform. The steel layer of warehouse steel rack is a thin layer. Everyone knows that if you put a heavy thing on a very thin board, it will either be deformed or it will be cut off directly. This will not happen if you change to a wood laminate. The thickness of the wood laminate is 15mm. The weighted goods are not easily deformed and will not break. The wood laminate is made up of many layers of thin wood that are compressed into a thick wooden plywood.
You may say that the steel laminate is not too thick, but everyone thinks, if the steel laminate is very thick, how much does it cost? And on the shelf, a set of medium duty shelves has four layers, then this medium-sized storage shelves should have multiple? If you want to put the racking in a different position, is it not very inconvenient to use it? In this case, it is better to use wood laminates, which can meet the requirements of unloading, not break, and save costs. It can also make the shelves lighter and more convenient to move. The steel mesh is more susceptible to deformation than the steel laminate. Therefore, in terms of the above comparison, the wood laminate is a suitable choice for warehouse racking and shelving.
