Drive in and Drive through storage rack uses an upright frame, guide rail and bracket to make this system. The system allows forklifts to enter the frame structure to load or unload pallets on a continuous track. These high density racking systems are usually more abused than selective racking due to their usage, so the integrity and strength of the racking are very important factors.
The single entry drive in the LIFO rack allows the forklift to enter from one side, and the support beam is located at the rear of the rack. The drive in FIFO rack allows forklifts to enter from both sides, with the support beam in the middle of the rack.
Drive In rack systems provide a low budget and high density storage solution for customers with lower SKU counts. Drive In rack systems load from the back to the front (First In Last Out) as the forklift literally drives into the rack system, loads the pallet onto rails and backs out of the rack system. As the system is loaded rear to front, it must it be unloaded front to rear.
