Wide span racking system is specifically constructed and designed for slightly heavier loads between 100kg to 500 kgs per layer, total unit is about 400KG to 2000KG ( Base on 4 layers). The heavy duty rack is for 1500 kgs to 3000 kgs. They are the most suitable systems for medium to large capacity warehouse users.
Hand loaded racking, or longspan shelving, is used for storing small or medium sized non-palletised items. It works in the same way as pallet racking, with uprights(columns) and beams, but has steel shelves which sit between the beams. That’s why some clients will use them to store files.
